After watching this film I don’t feel at home watching Netflix original movies anymore. Was it a comedy? When the film started it seemed like a female version of Napoleon Dynamite. Was it drama? The exposition of the sometimes (but always in movies) sad, pointless lives of the lower class. Or was it just exploitative violence? In the last 15 minutes of the short 96 minute film, knives stab, shotguns explode and ninja stars fly — all unnecessarily. I’m confused about the whole thing and not in a good way.
The low production quality film stars Rose the Stalker from Two And a Half Men (Melanie Lynskey) and Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings (Elijah Woods). They do a good job along with the rest of the cast, but to what end?
I have to give this a NO.
