This SyFy Channel show lasted five seasons. Five. It was mildly intriguing for about three. I confess, I started watching it on SyFy when it aired, lost interest during the third season, and remembered it existed when it showed up on Netflix recently.

The best parts: The scenery–gorgeous, small Nova Scotia town, it became my secret retirement fantasy. The premise–based (at least originally) on the Stephen King novel The Colorado Kid, it offered a bit of the supernatural, compellingly named characters, and a lot of mystery. Nicely paced at first, too.

The worst bits involve the meandering plot in later seasons, the silly twists and turns, and the dull soap opera with no chemistry between the lead actors. They are equally and separately appealing, I just wish they had never gotten together. Blah.

I would have to say, unless you have a lot of time on your hands and you’ve watched everything else, it’s safe to take a pass on this one.
